Powering the Future with Solar Energy

Discover how Metroace is embracing sustainable innovation through solar power. From rooftop installations to significant carbon reduction milestones, see how our commitment to clean energy is shaping a greener tomorrow.

Reducing Carbon

Metroace is proud to reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to healthier communities while also leading the way for others to follow in the Packaging Manufacturing industry.

Embarked On Solar Energy

In 2018, the company embarked on a solar energy program to utilize the plant's large roofing area for an on-grid rooftop Solar Power System. A 90 kWp system was installed as its pilot project and was considered a success, generating around 160,000 kWh annually and a carbon avoidance of 104 tons.

Metroace Consumes

Plastic manufacturing is energy-intensive due to heaters during the molding or extrusion process. Metroace consumes around 4,400,000 kWh annually, or an equivalent carbon emission of 2,548 tons.

Clean Energy

In the following year, clean energy was expanded, and in 2020, Metroace already had a total capacity of 590 kWp, generating around 791,000 kWh.
